Morning sunshine, golden and bright,
Mimi is playing in warm morning light.
Jumping and laughing, having some fun,
Chasing her toy beneath the sun.

Mimi jumped a little too high,
Her little toy went flying by.
She reached for it, but then—oh dear!
A sudden crash made her freeze with fear.

The mirror fell with a noisy sound,
Little pieces scattered on the ground.
Mimi looked and whispered low,
“Oh, no, no, no… what did I do?”

Her heart was worried, her eyes grew wide,
“Mommy might be angry,” Mimi cried.
She moved the toy box, trying to hide,
But hiding a mistake won't make it right.

Then Mommy came and gently said,
“Mimi, is everything okay?”
“Yes, Mommy!” Mimi answered fast,
But little glass pieces gave her away.

Mommy looked down, then looked at her,
“Mimi, what happened to the mirror?”
Mimi took a breath and said,
“I broke it while I played.”

“I was frightened you might be mad,
So I tried to hide what happened.
I'm sorry, Mommy. Now I know
That hiding things can make them worse.”

Mimi stepped away and stayed safe,
While Mommy cleaned the broken place.
Mimi helped by moving toys,
Carefully and without the noise.

Then Mimi smiled and softly said,
“Next time I'll tell you right away.
I won't hide when things go wrong.
I'll ask for help and make things right.”
